Features
An editor that already knows your photos.
Everything here is in the app today. We don't list what's coming until it works on a 16 GB M1.
Drafts in about a minute and a half
It transcribes your video, picks the moments worth a cutaway, writes captions and a headline. A 100-second video is drafted in about 90 seconds on an M1 Air.
Search your library by meaning
Describe a photo the way you remember it. No keywords, tags or albums needed.
Find the text in your photos
Put a word in quotes and VideoGhost matches the words written in your photos: receipts, signs, screenshots. Unquoted searches stay purely visual.
The best shot, automatically
It collapses bursts and lookalikes, and prefers sharp, eyes-open, well-framed photos.
Review before render
Every cutaway is a suggestion. Swap a photo, re-search with your own words, skip a moment, add a beat over any passage of the transcript. Nothing renders until you say so.
Dead air, gone
The silence at the start and end is trimmed automatically, with adjustable padding.
People controls
Mark "never show" people so they never appear in your cutaways.
Your library stays current
New iCloud photos are searchable within a minute of landing on your Mac.
Record in the app
Use your Mac's camera and mic, straight into a draft. Or pick any video from Photos.
Saved to Photos
Each finished short is added to a VideoGhost album, ready to share from your phone.
Post on a schedule (optional)
Connect a publishing account, set a weekly cadence, and queue shorts to YouTube Shorts and TikTok. Withdraw any time before it goes out.
Private by default
Runs on your Mac. Anonymous performance stats help us make it faster, and you can turn them off in Settings.
